Volunteer Terms of Engagement
By submitting your Volunteer Engagement & Worker Checks Form you accept that your engagement as a volunteer at the One&All Hub will be subject to these Terms of Engagement.
Duties
You will be performing a volunteer role for One&All at the One&All Hub and will perform all duties on a voluntary basis. You understand this means you will not be paid for your work.
You will only undertake duties which you are authorised to do and will only complete tasks under the direction of One&All staff.
One&All is not obligated to provide you with volunteer duties, and you understand One&All will notify you of any changes, including if your position is no longer required.
Conduct
You have read, understood and agree to comply with One&All’s Code of Conduct and Ethics available at www.oneandallhub.org/code-of-conduct.
You have read, understood and agree to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct available at www.ndiscommission.gov.au/about/ndis-code-conduct.
You agree to comply with the law at all times during the course of your volunteering.
You agree to complete any induction or training reasonably required by One&All within required timeframes.
Background Checks
You understand that all volunteers engaged to work at the One&All Hub are required to have a current NDIS Worker Check and Working With Children Check and acknowledge that you have provided One&All with proof that you have successfully completed these checks.
You will notify One&All promptly of any offences or criminal proceedings not previously disclosed which may impact your position or change the status of either of these checks.
Safety & Insurance
You understand that as a volunteer you will not be covered by One&All’s workers’ compensation insurance, but will be covered under One&All’s personal accident insurance for voluntary workers.
If you become aware of any health and safety issue, incident or potential hazard, you will report this to One&All Hub no later than the end of the day on which you first became aware of it.
You agree to provide adequate information to One&All relating to any existing health conditions which could impact your position.
If you are injured during the course of your volunteer duties, you will notify One&All promptly and complete an incident report as soon as practicable.
You understand if use of personal property is required for your position, it must be approved by One&All and must comply with existing One&All policies.
Use of personal vehicles is not covered by One&All; you understand that One&All recommends you have full comprehensive insurance which is your own financial responsibility.
Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
You have the following responsibilities in relation to any confidential information of One&All (including confidential information of any client of One&All) received or accessed by you during the course of performing your volunteering role:
You will not use that confidential information for any purpose other than performing your volunteering role, and
You will not disclose that confidential information to any third party, even after the conclusion of your volunteering, unless required by law.
You will respect and protect the intellectual property owned by and licensed to One&All.
Privacy
You understand that One&All will only collect, use and disclose your personal information in the manner and for the purposes specified in its Privacy Policy available at www.oneandallhub.org/privacy-policy.
You acknowledge that One&All’s Privacy Policy includes information on how you may access and update personal information that One&All hold about you and the complaints process for a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles.
You acknowledge that you have provided your personal information to One&All voluntarily.
You agree to the use and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes specified in One&All’s Privacy Policy.
You undertake to notify One&All as soon as practicable if your personal information is no longer current or if you withdraw your consent for the collection and/or use of your personal information.
Photographs & Videos
You must not take any photographs or video footage of clients, staff, facilitators, support workers or other volunteers at the One&All Hub unless expressly asked to do so by One&All.
If you are asked to take any photographs or video footage of clients, staff or other volunteers at the One&All Hub, you will only use, copy, distribute or share those photographs or that footage for the purpose and in the manner expressly authorised by One&All.
Termination
You understand that either party can terminate your engagement as a volunteer at any time by providing 14 days’ notice to the other party.
